Fully automatic bean-to-cup coffee machine for QSRs and petrol stations — automated grinding, brewing, and milk frothing with barista-level consistency, a 10.1″ touchscreen, and IoT/mobile payment support.
The CAYE Smart X is a commercial fully automatic coffee machine built around CAYE’s Bionic Barista system. It orchestrates every phase of coffee preparation — grinding, weighing, distribution, and extraction — to deliver a consistent, individualized coffee experience without needing a trained barista behind the machine.

A precision-engineered Constant Particle Size (CPS) ceramic burr grinder, driven by a robust yet silent BLDC motor, holds thermal consistency through long runs and keeps particle-size variation below 40 μm. The built-in AccuPowderWeigh system then weighs every dose directly, holding coffee weight within a ±0.2g margin using a C3-level scale module accurate to 0.03% — verified across 300+ cups of continuous grinding.
Ground coffee is delivered into the brewing chamber in a single dose, then Vertical Vibrating Distribution levels the coffee bed with vertical vibration — the same effect a barista achieves by tapping the portafilter — preventing channeling and keeping extraction stable from cup to cup.

During brewing, a reverse gravity extraction and vertical infusion system pushes water upward through the puck, maximizing extraction efficiency while keeping quality stable shot after shot. An optional AccuLiquidWeigh liquid-weighing module can also measure the brewed liquid directly, rather than estimating it from flow rate, for a more precise read on liquid weight and extraction duration.
AccuLiquidWeigh liquid weighing is an optional module, not included as standard.
SuperMix technology spins air and milk protein together in a swirling vortex before high-pressure steam infusion, producing a dense, glossy microfoam — SCA Level 1 quality — suited to both latte art and creamy milk coffee.

CLS is CAYE’s closed-loop quality-control technology: by tracking ground coffee weight, extraction time, and brewed espresso weight together, the system automatically fine-tunes grind size after every cycle, so flavor and aroma stay consistent cup after cup, across every outlet. One-button calibration lets staff quickly recalibrate at the start of a shift or after switching beans — no barista training required to keep quality standardized.
Standard CLS ships with every Smart X; the CLS for Studio upgrade (paired with the optional espresso scale module) adds live espresso-weight feedback on top.
Commercial coffee machines have evolved through three generations of dose control. Smart X is a pioneer of the third generation — the first to measure ground coffee weight directly with a built-in scale module, rather than estimating it.

| Generation | Method | Accuracy | Control |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1st Gen | Estimate powder weight by time | Low accuracy, low consistency | Open-loop |
| 2nd Gen | Estimate powder weight by thickness | Medium accuracy, medium consistency | Semi-closed loop |
| 3rd Gen (Smart X) | Measure powder weight directly | High accuracy, high consistency | Complete closed-loop |
Smart X supports three milk technologies built on SuperMix. CayeFoam+ dispenses silky foam from an independent milk wand while a shot is still extracting — suited to latte art. AutoMilk delivers frothed milk straight into the cup for fast one-touch milk coffee. CayeSteam is an automatic temperature-sensing steam wand with three modes — ManualSteam for full manual control, ManualSteam+ for automatic temperature adjustment, and AutoSteam for fully automated frothing that needs almost no operator skill.
Exact milk-system availability depends on the configuration selected — ask CUPTIME for the options available with your order.

Built on an integrated die-cast frame, Smart X separates its grinder, brewing, steam, ground-coffee-weighing, and hydraulic systems into independent modules, with durable all-metal components in critical areas. A technician can typically disassemble and replace a module in around 3 minutes, cutting downtime and minimizing the training a service visit requires.
Smart X exposes an API with detailed component metadata, letting IoT platforms customize monitoring for the business and integrate with ERP systems. It reports real-time device status — including production data and other operational metrics — helping schedule maintenance and manage spare-parts inventory before a fault causes downtime. Remote control lets staff download beverage recipes, update the user interface, and push OTA firmware updates without visiting the machine.

Production and consistency figures are based on the DIN 18873 standard from internal lab testing; real-world results can vary with operator handling, water pressure, and environmental conditions. Dual brewing chambers and dual coffee outlets are a Smart X Master feature, not standard Smart X.

Delivers barista-level consistency across every cup without requiring a trained barista on shift.
Standardizes taste across multiple outlets from one calibrated system.
Fast, low-skill servicing keeps downtime to minutes rather than hours.
Proactive maintenance scheduling via real-time device monitoring reduces unplanned outages.
Remote recipe updates and OTA firmware keep every machine in a fleet current without a technician visit.
Earlier machines estimate the coffee dose by time or by powder thickness. Smart X measures the ground coffee weight directly with a built-in scale module, and closes the loop by weighing the brewed result too — a pioneer of this approach among commercial coffee machines.
CLS tracks ground coffee weight and extraction time (and, with the optional espresso scale, brewed weight too) together, then automatically fine-tunes the grind size after each cycle so flavor stays consistent — with one-button recalibration whenever you switch beans.
No — that is a Smart X Master feature. The standard Smart X has a single brewing unit and a single coffee outlet, with a 24g/30g selectable dose.
Yes. Smart X supports CayeFoam+ (independent milk wand for latte art), AutoMilk (one-touch milk coffee), and CayeSteam (automatic steam wand with manual, semi-automatic, and fully automatic modes) — exact availability depends on the configuration ordered.
Real-time device status and production data, remote monitoring for maintenance planning, and remote control for downloading recipes, updating the interface, and pushing OTA firmware updates — plus an API for ERP integration.
The modular design — grinder, brewing, steam, weighing, and hydraulic modules — allows a technician to disassemble and replace a module in around 3 minutes.
